Film vs Digital Wedding Pictures

Which is better quality?

Check out two of my favorite pictures below.

The first is the couple's wedding party in 2005, photographed on my Nikon film camera.

The second is that same couple's new daughter, photographed in 2010 on my digital camera.

Which is better? 

Having trouble telling the difference? That's right... they both look great.

This is an illustration of lesson #1 in photography school... The biggest factor that affects photo quality is the skill of the photographer. Not the equipment - but the photographer's skill.



Above is the couple's Lake Tahoe wedding picture which Doug took 2005. Exact location: King's Beach. Below is their new daughter whom Doug was honoured to photograph in 2010.
